handoff
From the author
Write a short handoff note for the next chat or a teammate, with what is done, what is open, what comes next and what was rejected and why. Saves it to project memory so the next chat sees it at the start, and prints it so it can be pasted into a message or a pull request. Use when the user ends a piece of work, switches tasks, or hands the project to someone.

- session-handoffOneWave-AI/claude-skillsUse when a working session is ending, the context window is nearly full, work needs to pass to a teammate or a fresh session, or the user says "hand this off", "write this up before we lose it", "I'm starting a new session", or "summarize where we are". Produces a handoff document that lets the next session resume without re-reading the transcript.Writing★ 372
- handoff-protocolsrohitg00/skillkitManages work transitions between team members or agents by creating structured handoff documents, summarizing project status, documenting key decisions, blockers, and open questions, and generating onboarding briefs. Use when someone needs to hand off, hand over, or transition a project; pass work to another person or agent; brief a colleague taking over; prepare a shift change summary; or onboard someone mid-task. Produces ready-to-use handoff documents covering current status, next steps, known issues, technical context, and communication templates for both planned and unplanned transfers.Planning★ 1.6K
- catchupAvijit07x/claude-dbAnswer "where did I stop?" for this project. Gives three short groups, done, open and next, taken from the last chat, the recorded to-dos, the last handoff note and git. Use when the user comes back to a project, starts a new chat, or asks where they left off. It writes nothing.Writing★ 232
- create-handofftobihagemann/turboWrite a handoff file at .turbo/handoff/<YYYY-MM-DD>-<slug>.md capturing current session state — task, status, open decisions, in-flight changes, next step — so a fresh session can continue without re-deriving context. Use when the user asks to "create a handoff", "create handoff", "save handoff", "handoff before compact", "save session state", "handoff for next session", or "capture session state".Writing★ 416

- session-handoff-promptdongshuyan/compass-skillsCreate a concise continuation prompt that a fresh agent session can paste in to resume a long or degraded session. Use when the user asks for a handoff prompt, restart prompt, continuation prompt, context transfer, fresh-session resume, or a compact summary for opening a new session. Do not use for ordinary summaries, task-forest maintenance, durable user-profile updates, automatic session creation, code execution, or external publishing.Engineering★ 761
