session-handoff
From the author
Use when a working session is ending, the context window is nearly full, work needs to pass to a teammate or a fresh session, or the user says "hand this off", "write this up before we lose it", "I'm starting a new session", or "summarize where we are". Produces a handoff document that lets the next session resume without re-reading the transcript.

- handoffthedotmack/claude-memGenerate a HANDOFF.md that captures goal, current state, files touched, failed attempts, and next steps — so a fresh Claude session can continue exactly where this one left off. Use when sessions are getting long, Claude keeps retrying the same broken solution, or the user wants to step away and resume later.Other★ 102.4K
- session-handoff-promptdongshuyan/compass-skillsCreate a concise continuation prompt that a fresh agent session can paste in to resume a long or degraded session. Use when the user asks for a handoff prompt, restart prompt, continuation prompt, context transfer, fresh-session resume, or a compact summary for opening a new session. Do not use for ordinary summaries, task-forest maintenance, durable user-profile updates, automatic session creation, code execution, or external publishing.Engineering★ 760
- create-handofftobihagemann/turboWrite a handoff file at .turbo/handoff/<YYYY-MM-DD>-<slug>.md capturing current session state — task, status, open decisions, in-flight changes, next step — so a fresh session can continue without re-deriving context. Use when the user asks to "create a handoff", "create handoff", "save handoff", "handoff before compact", "save session state", "handoff for next session", or "capture session state".Writing★ 417
- handoff-protocolsrohitg00/skillkitManages work transitions between team members or agents by creating structured handoff documents, summarizing project status, documenting key decisions, blockers, and open questions, and generating onboarding briefs. Use when someone needs to hand off, hand over, or transition a project; pass work to another person or agent; brief a colleague taking over; prepare a shift change summary; or onboard someone mid-task. Produces ready-to-use handoff documents covering current status, next steps, known issues, technical context, and communication templates for both planned and unplanned transfers.Planning★ 1.6K

- debriefdavepoon/buildwithclaudeAlias for `/origin:handoff` — symmetric brief/debrief naming. Same behavior: end-of-session ritual that writes session log + project status + granular MCP captures. Invoked as `/debrief`. Use when the user prefers the brief/debrief pair over brief/handoff.Writing★ 3.7K
