assessing-comprehension-debt
From the author
Measures the risk that code shipped without anyone understanding it: a teach-back attestation on high-risk changes, a risk band from changed-code complexity, diff size and whether a human explanation accompanied it, and optional AI-authorship provenance. Findings stay advisory by design. Use when an AI-assisted codebase grows faster than the team reads it, when reviews are rubber-stamped, when nobody can explain a module that ships weekly, or when leadership asks how much of the code the team can actually maintain.

- dependency-securitynahid-sparktales/agent-dispatcherJudge dependency risk instead of reciting it — resolve the advisory to a real path through the lockfile, decide whether the vulnerable code is reachable in this codebase, and pick upgrade, override, removal or a written acceptance. Use when an audit or advisory alert fires, before adding a new dependency, when a lockfile change needs reviewing, or when someone asks whether a named CVE actually affects this project. Not for finding vulnerabilities in code you wrote, not for secret scanning, and a clean audit output is not a claim that the application is secure.Security★ 58
- ai-debt-detectorwshobson/agentsUse after generating code, after accepting AI suggestions, or when reviewing AI-written modules. Also use when code works but feels brittle, when error handling seems thin, when orphaned resources or missing cleanup are suspected, or when the agent claims done but hidden debt may exist. Catches the specific failure patterns AI agents produce that humans would not.Writing★ 42.1K
- tech-debt-analysisjaktestowac/awesome-copilot-for-testersAnalyzes technical debt in codebases, test suites, architecture, dependencies, and delivery workflows using observable signals. Use when auditing repository health, explaining slow delivery or flaky tests, prioritizing refactoring, or building an evidence-based remediation roadmap with risk, effort, and ROI. Use when user asks for technical debt analysis, repository audit, or refactor planning.Testing★ 118

- technical-debt-analyzerArabelaTso/Skills-4-SEDetect and analyze areas with high maintenance cost, poor design, or accumulated technical debt. Use this skill when reviewing codebases for quality issues, planning refactoring efforts, conducting code audits, assessing project health, identifying maintenance hotspots, or prioritizing technical improvements. Analyzes code smells, architectural issues, dependency problems, test quality, documentation gaps, and provides actionable recommendations with priority rankings.Testing★ 260
- assess-technical-debttobihagemann/turboAssess project-wide structural technical debt: complexity hotspots, deprecated API usage, duplication clusters, architecture rot, and low-value tests. Ranks findings by impact and refactor effort into a report at .turbo/technical-debt.md. Use when the user asks to "assess technical debt", "find technical debt", "review technical debt", "what should we refactor", "find refactoring candidates", "where is the code rot", "what's our worst code", "find low-value tests", or "which tests can we delete". Analysis-only — does not modify code.Testing★ 417
