run-cold-review-panel
From the author
Use when a manuscript you wrote is nearly finished and needs a hostile read before it is submitted, including a mock review, a simulated reviewer panel, a pre-submission review, red-team the paper, asking whether this would get rejected, or checking which reviewer objection the paper cannot survive. Use for your own unsubmitted manuscript; reviewing someone else's submission as an invited referee is a different task.

- review-others-manuscriptsgxCaesar/open-research-skillsUse when acting as an invited referee on someone else's submission, including writing a referee report, drafting reviewer comments, assessing a revision round against the authors' response letter, running an editorial prescreen for scope and policy, or judging whether a stated claim is carried by the evidence in a manuscript under review. Use for a manuscript that is not yours and is confidential; rehearsing objections against your own unsubmitted paper is a different task.Engineering★ 58
- self-reviewAperivue/medsci-skillsUse when checking your own manuscript before submission from a reviewer's perspective. - cold-reviewCotal-AI/CotalWrite the brief for a single independent cold reviewer and grade what it returns, keeping it isolated from the panel that already graded the change. Read by whoever AUTHORS the brief; the graded seat never loads this file. Covers what the seat is given, what its verdict binds, who may override it, and how the rules degrade when the vendor set is short. Use when a panel has reached consensus and you want a second opinion consensus cannot anchor, when a change is security-sensitive or hard to reverse, or when you are the author and therefore the worst available reader of your own work.Engineering★ 354
- reader-paneldanjdewhurst/story-skillsThis skill should be used when the user asks for a "simulated beta read", "reader panel", "persona read", "first read before my beta readers", "how would a genre reader react", "would a reader keep going", "pre-beta read", "mock beta readers", or wants structured persona reads of a chapter range before human readers see it. NOT for real reader feedback (use feedback-triage), a paid sensitivity or authenticity read (use editorial-review), or the agent's own line edit (use line-editing).Writing★ 351
- peer-reviewforyourhealth111-pixel/Vibe-SkillsStructured manuscript/grant review with checklist-based evaluation. Use when writing formal peer reviews with specific criteria methodology assessment, statistical validity, reporting standards compliance (CONSORT/STROBE), and constructive feedback. Best for actual review writing, manuscript revision. For evaluating claims/evidence quality use scientific-critical-thinking; for quantitative scoring frameworks use scholar-evaluation.Engineering★ 3.8K
