deep-research
From the author
Investigate an open question properly — frame it as a decision, work from primary sources, sweep from several angles including the disconfirming one, and stop on a rule rather than on fatigue. Use when a question's answer will change what gets built or bought, when the material is unfamiliar or contested, or when someone asks for a recommendation with evidence behind it. Not for looking up a single fact you can confirm in one place, not for mapping the local codebase, and not for judging one source in isolation.

- research-with-sourcesinkeep/open-knowledgeInvestigate a topic against preserved sources and write a draft-status research article under `research/` in a Knowledge Base project (the `knowledge-base` starter pack). Read when asked to research a topic, compare options, synthesize sources, gather evidence, or extend an existing research doc. Carries the full procedure: scan existing coverage, agree a research rubric, capture every source verbatim before analyzing, write the article incrementally so a crash never loses work, cite every claim, and link it back into the graph. Does not promote findings to canonical knowledge — that is the sibling `consolidate-notes` skill, after a decision lands.Science★ 4.7K
- deep-researcherKaranjot786/agent-skills-cliPerforms comprehensive, multi-layered research on any topic with structured analysis and synthesis of information from multiple sources. Use when the user needs thorough investigation, market research, technical deep-dives, due diligence, or comprehensive analysis on any subject.Science★ 194
- research-questiongaasher/Agent-Loop-SkillsUse when the user has a vague topic or area of interest and wants it sharpened into a few strong, novel, feasible research questions. Drafts candidate questions, scores each against a fixed rubric (Specific, Answerable, Novel, Feasible, Significant) with a light literature/web novelty check, and revises the weakest axis until enough questions clear the bar. Not for grading a full written proposal (use the research-proposal loop), and not for turning a question into testable predictions (use the hypothesis-generation loop).Science★ 177
- customer-researchanthropics/knowledge-work-pluginsMulti-source research on a customer question or topic with source attribution. Use when a customer asks something you need to look up, investigating whether a bug has been reported before, checking what was previously told to a specific account, or gathering background before drafting a response.OfficialScience★ 32.8K
- wiki-researchermicrosoft/skillsConducts multi-turn iterative deep research on specific topics within a codebase with zero tolerance for shallow analysis. Use when the user wants an in-depth investigation, needs to understand how something works across multiple files, or asks for comprehensive analysis of a specific system or pattern.OfficialScience★ 3.1K
- architecture-researchmajiayu000/spellbookEvidence-driven architecture research for understanding real systems and making technical decisions. Use when doing architecture landscape studies, source-backed system archaeology, build-vs-buy or adopt/adapt/build decisions, open-source and commercial comparisons, revisiting an earlier architecture choice, or handling requests such as 架构调研, 架构选型, 竞品架构, 技术尽调, 同类方案, 开源替代, how is X built, and what should we learn from X. Do not use for small mechanical changes, market-only discovery, or detailed design after the technology direction is already fixed.Science★ 288
