ai-research
From the author
Finds evidence from outside this repository and reports it with numbered citations, or marks a claim [unsourced] and leaves it marked. Uses only the tools the client actually has: the local floor is always on, web search / Tavily / Exa run only when the client configured them, and NotebookLM deep research runs only when `notebooklm doctor` passes — an absent tool degrades and is named, never an error. Ends with three cited directions worth taking. Trigger for "what does the state of the art say", "compare the options for", "find sources on", "is this still true", "what do the docs say about". Not for questions whose answer is in this repository — use /ai-explore. Not for diagnosing a failure — use /ai-debug. Not for deciding what to build — use /ai-orchestrator.

Not for evidence from outside this repository — use /ai-research. Not for diagnosing a failure — use /ai-debug. Not for judging a diff — use /ai-verify.Science★ 62
- blog-notebooklmAgriciDaniel/claude-blogQuery Google NotebookLM notebooks for source-grounded, citation-backed answers from user-uploaded documents. Manages notebook library, handles Google authentication, and supports smart discovery. Works standalone via /blog notebooklm or internally from blog-write and blog-researcher for source-grounded research context. Falls back gracefully when not configured. Use when user says "notebooklm", "notebook", "query notebook", "ask notebook", "notebook research", "source grounded research", "document query", "notebook library".Writing★ 2.6K
- web-researchexistential-birds/beagleUse when the user wants web research: gathering cited, multi-angle evidence on a specific question. Triggers on: "research X for me", "do web research on", "look up sources for", "find citations for", "gather evidence on", "what does the web say about X". Also invoked programmatically by other beagle skills (prfaq-beagle Ignition, brainstorm-beagle reference points, strategy-interview context grounding) via the companion contract. Does NOT trigger on codebase lookups ("find this function", "search the repo"), local file search, LLM-as-judge evaluation, or paywalled/auth-gated scraping. Produces a written plan, parallel-subagent findings, and a cited synthesis report on disk — never inline prose, never unsourced claims.Science★ 85
- deep-researchsamber/cc-skillsDeep research on any topic — broad parallel web searches, multi-source validation, confidence tracking, and a cited Markdown report. Use whenever the deliverable is a thorough sourced report rather than a quick answer: 'research <topic>', 'deep dive on X', 'analyze the landscape', 'competitive analysis', 'compare these options', 'who are the players in Z', 'literature review', 'background on Y', 'what papers exist on X', 'product teardown', 'regulatory overview', 'funding landscape', 'what trends are emerging in X', 'patent landscape', 'community health', or any request requiring scanning many sources and producing a cited written analysis. Covers 11 research types: market (TAM/SAM, segments, pricing, trends), domain (industry structure, ecosystem, regulatory overview), technical (architecture, tooling, benchmarks, technology evaluation), competitive (competitor teardown, positioning, win/loss), product (feature analysis, reviews, teardowns, roadmap signals), academic (literature survey, citation networks, keScience★ 241
- ai-read-docsarcasilesgroup/ai-engineeringUse when the work depends on versioned or external behaviour — adding a package, writing setup or config, integrating an SDK or a paid API, debugging a framework change — or on anything involving third-party APIs, libraries, frameworks, CLIs, cloud services, model/provider SDKs, fast-moving product behavior, user requests for latest/current/official behavior, unfamiliar repo docs/specs, errors that may indicate API drift, or high-stakes auth, security, billing, data, migration, deployment, compliance, or privacy behavior. Forces a docs pass (web-search of official sources) and reading primary docs before assuming from memory. Not for evidence from outside this repository generally — use /ai-research; not for questions the repository answers — use /ai-explore.Security★ 62
- ai-research-analystcbrock84/headcountProduces executive-level research — market sizing, competitor mapping, trend analysis, and strategic intelligence — grounded in cited sources with the confidence in each claim made explicit. Use this to analyze a market or industry, map competitors, evaluate a market-entry or build-versus-buy decision, produce a research brief, or assemble evidence for a decision. Also use when comparing options that need a structured, evidence-based verdict rather than an opinion.Science★ 2.2K
