adopt-existing
From the author
Source-first growth of an existing single- or multi-repository project into CYPRESS's unified docs/graph knowledge system. Use from initialize when code already exists, or for a graph refresh after material code changes. Scout executable evidence, model subsystem nodes, build project-specific architecture/product/API/data/dependency/prompt/operations leaves, connect them for progressive discovery, and validate navigation. Never trust centralized prose without source corroboration, invent specs or ADRs, modify application files, run application builds, or push Git.

- adopt-projectsneg55/agent-starterApply agent-starter patterns to an EXISTING project - audits the codebase, proposes components by invasiveness tier (hooks, skills, CLAUDE.md, lint configs, patterns), and applies only what the developer approves. Use when the user says adopt, retrofit, "apply agent-starter to this project", or wants starter patterns in an existing codebase.Other★ 74
- reuse-before-buildAi-Eastern/reuse-before-buildReuse-first decision gate for coding work. Before building, check whether the project, its platform, its installed dependencies, or a well-evidenced open-source project already provides what is needed, then decide Take, Borrow, or Build from evidence actually read. Use it whenever a task involves choosing an architecture, library, framework, or component; implementing a non-trivial feature, helper, or integration that may already exist; adding, extending, or checking tests; or resuming engineering work from a handoff, checkpoint, or compacted context, even if the user never mentions reuse. Skip it for typos, renames, and other small local edits.Testing★ 99
- adopthashgraph-online/awesome-codex-pluginsAdd docflow to a repo that already has docs, without rewriting them. Adds missing config, folders, helpers, agent guidance, and an adoption review. Use when docs already exist or doctor recommends adopt.Engineering★ 1.5K
- research-and-ingestllopresto87/CypressFind authoritative sources on the web (or via documentation MCP servers like Context7/DeepWiki), download or snapshot them when allowed, normalize them into clean Markdown, and stage them for the library-wiki. Use whenever a new library/spec/API/standard is being added, a wiki page is stale, an ADR needs current evidence, or a behavior best practice needs verification. Always prefer official upstream sources and version-pinned content over training data.Science★ 117
- source-driven-developmentaddyosmani/agent-skillsGrounds every implementation decision in official documentation. Use when you want to verify an approach against the official docs before implementing it, or when you want authoritative, source-cited code free from outdated patterns. Use when building with any framework or library where correctness matters.Engineering★ 111.9K
- source-drivenOutlineDriven/outline-driven-developmentUse when writing or verifying framework-specific code, boilerplate, or a documented, correct implementation. Not for remote, credential, publish, deploy, or irreversible changes.DevOps★ 55
