From the author
Use when the user wants the LLM to do its own ML research: a fully-autonomous loop that hacks the training code, runs it, and keeps changes that lower a single scalar metric (e.g. val_bpb). One agent proposes one change at a time, runs training in the user's env, keeps it only if the metric improves (advancing a git branch) else reverts, and loops forever until the human interrupts. A faithful adaptation of Karpathy's autoresearch. Not for the analysis-first variant that profiles before editing (that is ml-autoresearch), and not for a budgeted, plateau-stopping refactor.

- autoresearchgithub/awesome-copilotAutonomous iterative experimentation loop for any programming task. Guides the user through defining goals, measurable metrics, and scope constraints, then runs an autonomous loop of code changes, testing, measuring, and keeping/discarding results. Inspired by Karpathy's autoresearch. USE FOR: autonomous improvement, iterative optimization, experiment loop, auto research, performance tuning, automated experimentation, hill climbing, try things automatically, optimize code, run experiments, autonomous coding loop. DO NOT USE FOR: one-shot tasks, simple bug fixes, code review, or tasks without a measurable metric.Testing★ 40.4K
- ml-autoresearchgaasher/Agent-Loop-SkillsUse when the user wants an autonomous ML research loop that does more than blindly try changes. After every training run the agent analyses what actually happened inside the model — gradients, activations, embeddings, errors, data — and grounds the next change in that evidence. A `<literature>` on/off dial adds scientific-literature grounding: off behaves as a pure analysis-first loop; on searches papers, grades the evidence, and implements only what prior work supports. One change per run; loops forever until interrupted. Not for one-off training runs or hyperparameter sweeps.Science★ 177
- autoresearch-loopjdrhyne/agent-skillsDomain-agnostic metric-driven improvement loop, generalizing Karpathy's autoresearch. Use when you want an agent to discover what to measure for a project/goal, then run a keep-or-revert experiment loop that proposes changes, measures them against an objective, keeps wins, discards regressions, and records implemented improvements. Adapts to code perf-auditing, codegen, bug-finding, ad optimization, or any artifact + measurable objective + trial. Trigger: 'autoresearch this', 'find and implement improvements to X', 'discover metrics and optimize'.Marketing★ 240

- loopyForward-Future/loopyDiscover, find, compare, audit, repair, adapt, craft, run, debrief, save, and prepare repeatable AI-agent loops for publication. Use when a user asks to analyze code or coding threads for recurring work, find a published loop, interview them to turn a goal into a bounded loop, review a loop for weak checks or unsafe authority, execute a loop with an evidence receipt, learn from completed runs, save or reuse a project loop, or validate and submit a loop to Loop Library.Planning★ 3.2K
