WISeKey and OISTE.ORG are extending their Post-Quantum Root Key initiative to establish a cryptographically verifiable identity for AI systems, addressing the critical need to authenticate model origins and agent actions against quantum threats. By integrating this trust chain into secure hardware elements like TPMs, the architecture ensures that AI workloads maintain integrity from server to embedded device, preventing impersonation and unauthorized software replacement. This move shifts the focus toward hardware-backed attestation as a foundational requirement for securing future AI transactions in a post-quantum landscape.

WISeKey International Holding Ltd and OISTE. ORG are extending their initiative to establish a cryptographically verifiable Root of Trust for artificial intelligence systems. The collaboration aims to address a growing challenge: verifying that AI models and agents are “authentic, authorized and operating with trusted software, data and instructions.” This builds on existing Public Key Infrastructure, the system used to authenticate websites, but applies it to AI, creating a potential chain of trust from a “Post-Quantum Root of Trust” to every AI transaction. WISeKey and OISTE believe…
