Guangdong: Accelerating the Development of "AI+Consumption" and Developing the Debut Economy Based on Local Conditions
36Kr learned that the Guangdong Provincial Development and Reform Commission has issued a notice on the "Guangdong Province Consumption Expansion Implementation Plan." The plan calls for accelerating the development of "AI+consumption," promoting high-end development of AI smartphones and computers, smart wearables, intelligent robots, and desktop-grade three-dimensional (3D) printing devices, and speeding up the R&D and interconnection of smart security and video care systems to enrich digital product consumption choices. It also calls for stronger support for the development of intelligent connected vehicles, encouraging vehicle manufacturers to seek access and road-testing pilots for L3 autonomous driving models in accordance with regulations, and orderly carrying out intelligent driving testing and commercial operations in the Greater Bay Area. The plan further calls for cultivating and building a number of leading debut economy enterprises and platform carriers, guiding cities to attract high-level first stores from home and abroad based on local conditions, and supporting quality brands in launching new products, debuts, and exhibitions. Cities are encouraged to set up "green channels" for first stores to move in.
