At the 2026 Physical AI and World Model Conference held today, the National Data Annotation Pilot Jiangsu-Anhui City Alliance was established in Nanjing, Jiangsu. Ten cities across the Yangtze River Delta will develop their data annotation industries in coordination to provide crucial support for regional artificial intelligence innovation. As the foundation of the AI industry, data annotation involves classifying and labeling various text, image, and scenario-based data so that AI systems can understand, recognize, and learn real-world patterns, thereby accelerating the iteration and practical application of large models. This initiative, jointly launched by Nanjing, Jiangsu, Wuhu, Anhui, and nine other Yangtze River Delta cities, will effectively address long-standing industry pain points such as fragmented resources, inconsistent standards, and insufficient regional collaboration.
