NDRC: Will Further Remove 'Invisible Barriers' Hindering Development of Modern Circulation System
The National Development and Reform Commission held a press conference on the "Striving for the 15th Five-Year Plan" series to introduce efforts to consolidate development support. Kou Rong, deputy director of the Department of Economic and Trade of the NDRC, said the modern circulation system can connect production and consumption on a broader scale and plays a foundational, leading, and strategic role in the national economy. During the 15th Five-Year Plan period, the modernization of circulation for key commodities will be further enhanced, with efforts focused on improving the bulk commodity production, transportation, and sales system and strengthening the storage, transshipment, and distribution capacity for bulk commodities. Measures include developing direct freight trains for bulk cargo and accelerating rail-sea intermodal transport to further speed up commodity circulation. At the same time, an integrated and coherent set of circulation rules and standards will be established, with rule and standard formulation and revision strengthened in key areas such as commerce and logistics, e-commerce, and agricultural product circulation. Interconnection of circulation and logistics facilities and market information trading platforms, along with rule alignment, will be promoted to further remove the "invisible barriers" hindering circulation. Resource and factor support for circulation industry development will also be further strengthened. (Securities Times)
