Five Departments Push Energy-Saving and Carbon-Reduction Retrofits for Computing Power, Telecom Base Stations and Data Centers

36Kr learned that five departments have issued a notice on the Action Plan for Comprehensive Energy Conservation. It calls for promoting energy-saving and carbon-reduction retrofits of infrastructure such as computing power facilities, telecom base stations and data centers, and optimizing energy consumption structures. It also calls for improving energy production efficiency, strengthening low-carbon retrofits of coal-fired power units, and steadily reducing the comprehensive line loss rate of the power grid. By 2030, the unit value-added energy consumption of above-scale industrial enterprises will be reduced by more than 10% compared with 2025, and energy savings of over 150 million tons of standard coal will be achieved through energy-saving and carbon-reduction retrofits in key industries.
