MFA: China looks to strengthen coordination on bilateral and multilateral issues through new round of Sino-French strategic dialogue
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning hosted a regular press briefing. When asked about the visit of French President's foreign affairs advisor Bonafé to China and China's expectations, Mao Ning stated that during Bonafé's visit, Foreign Minister Wang Yi will hold a new round of Sino-French strategic dialogue with him to deepen cooperation between China and France in various fields, advance strategic communication, and exchange views in depth on international and regional issues of common concern. In December last year, French President Macron made his fourth state visit to China, during which the two heads of state held extensive exchanges and reached important consensus on strengthening strategic communication, adhering to open cooperation, and jointly safeguarding multilateralism. China looks forward to enhancing coordination on bilateral and multilateral issues through this dialogue and promoting steady development of Sino-French and Sino-European relations.
