US ITC Issues Final Determination on Proteomics Research Tools, Equipment, Software, Compositions, Chemicals, and Lab Supplies
36Kr reports that, according to the China Trade Remedy Information Network, on October 13, the US International Trade Commission (ITC) announced a final determination in its Section 337 investigation concerning systems, equipment, software, compositions, chemicals, and laboratory supplies specifically used for proteomics research. The ITC declined to review the initial ruling issued by the administrative judge on September 16, 2026 (No. 7), designating Hangzhou-based Nanomics Biotechnology Co., Ltd. of China as an absent respondent. Recommended relief measures include a general exclusion order and a cease and desist order. Interested parties, including the case participants, relevant government agencies, and individuals, may submit comments on the proposed relief measures, public interest considerations, bond requirements, etc., focusing on public health and welfare, competitive conditions in the US economy, US-produced products similar or directly competing with the investigated items, and US consumers. Written submissions must not exceed 15 pages and are due no later than October 30, 2026.
