Tableau's internal deployment of agentic analytics demonstrates that scaling enterprise AI agents requires robust governance and a single source of truth rather than just advanced models. By leveraging Slackbot Skills and Tableau MCPs to route queries to governed semantic models, the system ensures accuracy and trustworthiness for proactive insights and conversational analysis. This approach highlights how operational visibility and cost management are critical prerequisites for deploying autonomous analytics agents at scale within large organizations.
