The article covers a startup building a children's wearable whose AI agent records and interprets a child's daily life, so AI is central rather than incidental. The funding amount is undisclosed beyond "tens of millions of yuan," and the product is not yet on sale, so the claims are unverified. For AI readers, the notable points are the proactive multimodal agent design and the continuous-recording approach, both of which raise open questions about privacy and child-data handling.

Hard Kr Exclusive: Former Li Auto AI Glasses Lead Launches Children's Hardware Startup, Raises Tens of Millions of Yuan in Angel Round

By Qiu Xiaofen Edited by Yuan Silai Hard Kr has learned that Wuwai Zhiqu, a children's AI hardware company, recently closed an angel round of tens of millions of yuan. Investors include Borui Capital, angel investor Professor Gao Bingqiang, and Gaofeng Patient Capital. The funding will be used mainly for product development, AI experience building, and expanding the core team. Wuwai Zhiqu will continue pursuing follow-on financing, with Palm Capital serving as financial adviser. Wuwai Zhiqu was founded in February 2026. Its core members all come from Li Auto and have extensive experience developing consumer products, with strengths in software experience refinement and hardware mass production and delivery. Company founder Wang Ziwei has previously overseen product and brand strategy, Li Tongxue AI products, and the Livis smart glasses at Li Auto, and has fully led the zero-to-one product innovation and launch of several software and hardware products. In December 2025, the Li Auto glasses he was responsible for went on sale, and the initial batch of 30,000 units sold out within 48 hours. Wang Ziwei said the first product from Wuwai Zhiqu is positioned as a “pocket early-education expert” for children. In terms of form, the company's first hardware product is a lightweight, minimalist wearable device. To realize this vision, behind the hardware they have designed a proactive multimodal Agent architecture that lets the AI record and understand a child's real life anytime, anywhere. Through interacting with the child and understanding everyday family interactions, it helps children nurture curiosity and exploration and helps parents with early child development. Wang Ziwei told Hard Kr that the startup's origin came from observing and reflecting on the real educational challenges facing young children. The company chose age 3 as the starting point because at this stage children begin to express their thoughts fairly fully, and enter a period of intense “why” questions and active exploration of the world. At the same time, children start kindergarten, expanding their activity range and often moving out of their parents' sight. It set age 8 as the upper limit of the first stage because the years before 8 are a critical period for child development and early learning. “The WHO defines ages 0 to 8 as the early childhood development stage. UNICEF data show that a child's brain reaches about 80% of adult volume at age 3 and about 90% at age 5, and the window of rapid development gradually narrows around age 7.” In his view, scientific parenting is not about shaping children to a single standard, but about protecting a child's natural curiosity, desire to explore, and creativity, based on an understanding of how children develop. A child's
