Securities Association Report: Analysts Prohibited from Directly Using Unverified AI-Generated Content
Recently, the Securities Association of China issued the '2025 Statistical Report on Business Operations in Securities Research Reporting by Securities Companies' (hereinafter referred to as the 'Report'). The Report indicates that the industry has not clearly defined the boundaries for applying AI technology in research reporting business, lacks management requirements for analysts using AI-provided materials, and some analysts have used unverified, erroneous content generated by AI in public settings, undermining the professional credibility of the securities research industry. It is recommended to establish internal control mechanisms for auditing AI investment research content to verify the authenticity, logic, and compliance of AI outputs. Analysts are prohibited from directly relying on unverified data, viewpoints, market forecasts, and research conclusions generated by AI to effectively control the risks of AI model hallucinations.
