China's bulk commodity price index rises 4.1% month-on-month in September

36Kr1 min read

The China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing today (the 5th) released the September China Bulk Commodity Price Index. According to the index trends, as the traditional peak season for production and construction arrives, major projects accelerate their implementation, and manufacturing production and market demand continue to improve, the prosperity level of the bulk commodity market has further increased, laying a good foundation for stable economic operation in the fourth quarter. Experts stated that the significant rise in the September bulk commodity price index is supported by both the arrival of the traditional production peak season and improved domestic and foreign market demand, as well as cost-push factors from international price fluctuations and tight supply of certain commodities. To consolidate the foundation for stable and positive development in the bulk commodity market, it is still necessary to strengthen monitoring and risk prevention of key bulk commodity markets, stabilize the supply of important energy resources, accelerate the promotion of upstream and downstream industries in establishing organizational models and new interest linkage mechanisms for sharing risks and benefits, enhance risk prevention and mitigation capabilities, and further release the endogenous power of economic growth.
