CATL has delivered the first batch of its EnerQB long-duration energy storage systems to Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners, a global energy infrastructure investment firm, from its production base in Xiamen, the company said recently. Each unit has a capacity of 5.64 MWh. The product is developed based on CATL's TENER long-duration energy storage system and is designed for Australia's 3GW/24GWh series of long-duration storage projects. The first unit will be shipped to the Stanwell Power Station in central Queensland for deployment. This marks the first batch delivery of 8-hour-plus long-duration energy storage systems for gigawatt-hour-scale applications, according to reports. (Caixin)
