36Kr1 min read

A reporter learned today (October 11) from the State Administration for Market Regulation that China's corporate credit index stood at 161.32 in August, up 2.45 points from July. Compared with the previous month, operating and regulatory indicators showed significant growth; the number of new entries to the list of enterprises with abnormal operations decreased notably, while new removals from this list increased substantially. The proportion of enterprises with high credit risk declined, driving a stabilization and recovery in overall credit levels. In August, the top five industries by credit index were finance, manufacturing, water conservancy, environment and public facilities management, electricity/heat/gas/water production and supply, and transportation/storage/postal services. Compared with last month, indices for manufacturing, transportation/storage/postal services, wholesale and retail trade grew rapidly, with manufacturing reaching its highest ranking of the year.
