The rapid deployment of over 70 embodied AI training fields in China marks a critical shift from theoretical research to real-world industrial implementation for humanoid robots. This infrastructure expansion directly addresses the data scarcity bottleneck by enabling large-scale, practical training on complex tasks like industrial valve operation and electrical cabinet switching. Such developments are essential for scaling embodied intelligence systems beyond controlled lab environments into diverse operational settings.
Embodied AI Training Centers Accelerate Deployment; Over 70 Now Operational Nationwide
Since the beginning of this year, China has continued to strengthen the foundation for the embodied intelligence industry, expedite infrastructure construction for training centers, refine industry standards and regulations, and promote the rapid transition of embodied intelligence from laboratories to industrial application. Currently, more than 70 embodied AI training centers have been built and put into operation nationwide, with over 40 more under construction or in planning stages, forming three core clusters in the Yangtze River Delta, Jing-Jin-Ji, and Greater Bay Area regions. As large volumes of practical training data are rapidly aggregated and applied to real-machine training, significant progress is being made. In Shenzhen, for instance, arm-type humanoid robots trained using this practical data can perform complex tasks such as switching electrical cabinets and operating industrial valves.
