CNNC Tianwan Nuclear Power Unit 7 Successfully Grid-Connected for the First Time
36Kr reports that Tianwan Nuclear Power's Unit 7, under the investment holding of China National Nuclear Power (a subsidiary of CNNC), successfully connected to the grid for the first time on October 8, officially delivering its first unit of electricity to the power grid and laying a solid foundation for the commercial operation of subsequent units. It is understood that the Tianwan Nuclear Power base plans to construct eight units; Units 1 through 6 have already generated over 55 billion kWh of electricity safely and stably, with Unit 7 expected to enter commercial operation within the year. Once all eight units at the Tianwan Nuclear Power base are operational, total installed capacity will exceed 9 million kW, annual power generation will surpass 70 billion kWh, and carbon dioxide emissions will be reduced by 57.4 million tons annually.
