Starting October 25, 2026, and running through March 27, 2027, China's civil aviation sector will implement the 2026 winter-spring flight schedule. Multiple airlines are set to add and increase flights to popular winter tourist destinations. According to data from Hangtongzheng, the official direct sales platform for civil aviation, domestic round-trip flight volumes to Urumqi grew by approximately 10% year-on-year as of October 15, with increases also recorded for routes to Harbin, Sanya, and other locations. Meanwhile, major airlines will continue to boost capacity at hub airports. The top ten cities by planned winter-spring flight volume are Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Kunming, Chongqing, Xi'an, Hangzhou, and Wuhan, with round-trip flights to Shanghai seeing a year-on-year increase of about 10%, while routes to Chengdu, Kunming, and others also show significant growth.
