Lynk & Co 10 EM-P Falls Nearly 100 Meters Off a Cliff; Occupant Compartment Intact, Battery Does Not Catch Fire
On October 13, Lynk & Co released a statement regarding an accident involving a Lynk & Co 10 EM-P in Luzhou, Sichuan. Early on the morning of October 9, on a national highway in Luzhou, Sichuan, the vehicle veered off the road due to unfamiliarity with the terrain and tumbled nearly 100 meters down a cliff. During the fall, airbags deployed and the emergency rescue system automatically initiated a voice call. After multiple impacts and rolls, the occupant compartment remained intact; pillars A, B, and C showed no deformation, doors opened normally, and there was no smoke, fire, or leakage from the power battery. The owner sustained only minor abrasions and localized bone fractures and is in stable mental condition. It is understood that the Lynk & Co 10 EM-P is built on the CMA Evo platform, with high-strength steel and aluminum accounting for over 80% of the body structure; pillar A utilizes 2000MPa hot-formed steel. The battery is equipped with NTP thermal runaway prevention technology and has passed multiple extreme safety tests while powered.
