36Kr1 min read

Industry data released Wednesday show that imported car sales in South Korea rose 29.3% year on year in October, driven mainly by strong demand for electric vehicles. According to the Korea Automobile Importers and Distributors Association (KAIDA), new imported car registrations last month totaled 31,117 units, compared with 24,064 a year earlier. The three best-selling imported models were the Tesla Model Y (Premium), the Mercedes-Benz E200 and the Tesla Model 3. Both Tesla models are produced at the company's factory in China and supplied to the South Korean market, allowing Tesla to sell them at more competitive prices. (Sina Finance)
