mindset-and-motivation
De la autor
Mindset theory, implicit theories of intelligence, and motivation research applied to learning. Covers fixed vs. growth mindset, the difference between process praise and ability praise, the "not yet" intervention, attribution patterns after failure, mindset critiques and the replication record, and the integration of mindset work with self-determination theory (autonomy, competence, relatedness). Use when a learner is stuck on motivation, disengaging after failure, or when a curriculum's feedback language is undermining persistence.

- cognitive-psychologyTibsfox/gsd-skill-creatorCore cognitive processes underlying human thought and behavior. Covers attention (selective, divided, sustained), memory systems (sensory, working, long-term, encoding, retrieval, forgetting), perception (top-down, bottom-up, Gestalt principles, perceptual constancy), decision-making (heuristics, biases, prospect theory, bounded rationality), language processing (comprehension, production, Broca/Wernicke, bilingualism), and problem-solving (algorithms, heuristics, insight, functional fixedness, mental set). Use when analyzing how people think, attend, remember, perceive, decide, or solve problems.Productivitate★ 71

- behavioral-economicsTibsfox/gsd-skill-creatorSystematic departures from rational choice theory and their implications for economic analysis and policy. Covers cognitive heuristics (anchoring, availability, representativeness), biases (loss aversion, status quo, overconfidence), prospect theory (reference dependence, probability weighting, diminishing sensitivity), nudge theory and choice architecture, and the integration of psychological findings into economic models. Use when analyzing decision-making under uncertainty, evaluating policy interventions that exploit behavioral patterns, or assessing where standard rational-agent models break down.Planificare★ 71
