This is a conference announcement, not a technical report, so it offers no performance data or deployment results. It does show that buyers in commercial real estate, shopping malls, and amusement parks are asking practical questions about embodied AI: whether solutions are mature, how they fit existing operations, and whether the costs are justified. For AI readers, the signal is that embodied AI adoption in consumer spaces will depend on demonstrated operational fit and cost, not just capability.
Culture, Commerce & Tourism × Embodied AI: How Will the Next Consumer Experience Take Shape? | WISE2026
Embodied AI holds promise for its ability to perceive and act in real environments and complete concrete tasks. In preparing the "Embodied AI & Culture, Commerce & Tourism" sub-forum for this year's WISE, we first listened to many demand-side voices. What buyers care about is very practical: Are there mature adaptation solutions? How will they be used in real scenarios? Can the costs be borne? Do they fit existing businesses and supplier systems? On the other side, embodied AI companies also need real offline scenarios to test how their products perform in daily operations. So at this year's WISE, we brought these two sides together on site. On November 26, the "Embodied AI & Culture, Commerce & Tourism" sub-forum will be held at the Conference Center of the Beijing Yizhuang National Xinchuang Park, under the theme "The 'Cyber Scenarios' of Culture, Commerce & Tourism: Embodied AI Activating New Consumer Tracks." It is co-hosted by 36Kr, Kairui Research Institute, Ouke Law, and co-hosted by the Embodied AI Industry Alliance. This is a vertical discussion sub-forum of the 36Kr WISE2026 Business King Conference, and we will bring the topics down to concrete spaces such as residential, commercial real estate, property management, shopping malls, and amusement parks. Companies confirmed to attend include Wanda Commercial Management Group (Zhuhai), Zhihui Group, Joy City Holdings (Joy Life), and Longfor Group. Demand-side questions come first: adaptation, usage, and cost In earlier communications, a direct demand from the buyers' side was that robots be able to take on some routine operational work. But once a technology reaches the operational site, it must further explain how it connects with existing processes, how many personnel are needed to cooperate, and how its effectiveness should be evaluated. Scenario adaptation and cost have also been repeatedly raised as bottlenecks. Around these issues, the roundtable "Scenarios Are King: Opportunities and Challenges of Embodied AI in Culture, Commerce & Tourism" will further discuss: What thresholds must be crossed to move from pilots to routine operations? How should "digital employees plus physical robots" divide work and collaborate in offline scenarios? The afternoon sharing will further explore: how can embodied AI be operated sustainably when it enters offline commerce? "Long-Term Operations: How Can Embodied AI Activate New Consumer Tracks?" will discuss the economics: Does embodied AI bring cost reduction or revenue growth? Can robots and digital employees become new reasons for customers to visit stores? What kinds of services will demand-side buyers pay for, and how will technology companies sustain profitability? On the same day, a roundtable "Overseas Expansion: The Next Growth Curve for Embodied AI Companies" will also be held, extending the discussion to market expansion for companies. On stage, we discuss problems; on stage
