The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Direct: All the news and trailers

The Legend of Zelda franchise turns 40 this year, and Nintendo has some news in store. The company is airing a Zelda-themed Direct on September 8th at 10AM ET (it’s actually the first of two news-filled events), which is expected to last around 30 minutes and, according to Nintendo, will include a “variety of information related to The Legend of Zelda.” That’s a pretty vague description, but the event will almost certainly include more details on the upcoming Ocarina of Time remake for the Switch 2, which currently doesn’t have a release date, as well as the live-action Zelda movie that hits theaters in 2027. But given the length of the event, there will likely be some surprises as well. Hey, maybe we’ll see a tease for the next mainline Zelda adventure. You can follow along with all of the news right here, as well as watch the event as it unfolds in the embed below. Zelda is getting a concert tour to celebrate the series’ 40th anniversary. Nintendo is launching a Zelda-themed Switch 2. The next Legend of Zelda Lego set features Link and Epona. Nintendo’s Ocarina of Time remake launches in November Link can jump now! “The title is… ‘The Legend of Zelda.’” Hey! Listen! Nintendo’s next two Direct events are both happening next week
