The Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center is developing a hybrid quantum-classical platform to explore the architecture of future supercomputers, supported by significant federal funding. This initiative aims to bridge current classical infrastructure with emerging quantum capabilities, providing critical insights into scalable computing systems for researchers and engineers. Such developments are pivotal for advancing practical applications in both fields rather than serving as isolated experiments.
