Shokz has introduced two iterations of its open-ear earbuds, prioritizing comfort and environmental awareness over active noise cancellation. The entry-level OpenDots Air offers a significant price reduction and improved bass response via a new spherical acoustic structure, while the premium OpenDots 2 adds Dolby Audio support for a slightly higher cost. Both models utilize AI for call noise reduction and feature dynamic ear detection, presenting a viable alternative to traditional in-ear designs for users seeking situational awareness.
