S-Transistors is raising capital to develop superconducting transistor circuits specifically designed to address the wiring and power scaling bottlenecks in cryogenic quantum processors. By integrating these components directly into the cryostat, the startup aims to reduce the need for bulky external cables that currently limit qubit density and energy efficiency. This development represents a tangible hardware advancement rather than a theoretical algorithmic improvement, focusing on the physical infrastructure required for large-scale quantum systems.
