planqc has secured a European award for advancing sovereign quantum computing infrastructure, specifically focusing on neutral-atom systems ranging from 100 to 1,000 qubits. The company's strategy emphasizes practical application development in partnership with major industry players like Airbus and BMW to bridge the gap between hardware scalability and real-world utility. This recognition highlights a significant step toward establishing a self-sufficient European quantum ecosystem rather than relying on imported technology.
