Oracle Urges Regulators to Expedite Approval for Data Center Natural Gas Pipeline

Oracle has again requested that federal regulators approve a natural gas pipeline as soon as possible to meet power needs for its large data center project in New Mexico. In a letter to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) on Tuesday, Josh Pitcock, Senior Vice President of Government Affairs at Oracle, warned that continued delays in approving the pipeline project operated by an Energy Transfer LP subsidiary would 'threaten the operational timeline of Project Júpiter, thereby impacting associated job creation, economic activity, and community benefits.' The pipeline, named Green Chile, will transport approximately 40 million cubic feet of natural gas daily to fuel cells provided by Bloom Energy to support Project Júpiter. Currently, the pipeline's commissioning has been delayed until February 2027, far later than the previously planned start date of August 15.
