During the National Day holiday, duty-free shops at Beijing's entry points experienced a shopping boom. Domestic and international travelers showed strong demand, driving up both foot traffic and sales at duty-free stores, highlighting robust vitality in the port consumption market. As inbound tourism gains momentum, the tax-free shopping policy has provided greater convenience for foreign visitors, further activating the inbound consumption market. According to customs statistics, from October 1 to 7, Beijing Capital International Airport Customs processed 3,428 tax-free shopping application forms, a year-on-year increase of 275.47%; the total value of these applications exceeded 22.57 million yuan, up 32.8% year-on-year. Tax-free purchases were primarily in clothing, footwear, hats, and electronic products. (CCTV News)
