A responsible official from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) stated today that, while ensuring safety, China will actively and steadily advance the safe, healthy, and orderly development of the low-altitude equipment industry. The MIIT official emphasized that developing the low-altitude economy must prioritize safety, including strengthening drone risk management at the production and manufacturing level and accelerating the establishment of a regulatory framework comprising laws, regulations, and standards. Furthermore, in terms of innovation-driven development, efforts will focus on unmanned, electrified, connected, and intelligent directions, vigorously promoting the deep integration of technological and industrial innovation to accelerate the construction of an advanced and applicable product system for low-altitude equipment. China will also strengthen scenario innovation, adhering to principles such as cargo before passengers, isolation before integration, and suburban areas before urban centers, cultivating a batch of replicable and scalable benchmark scenarios to drive the iterative upgrade of technical equipment.
