Hong Kong's Action Plan for Developing the Low-Altitude Economy Expected to Be Drafted Within the Year, Study Underway on Establishing an International Low-Altitude Economy Cooperation Organization with Mainland China

Hong Kong's first five-year plan proposes building an Asia-Pacific hub for low-altitude innovation and applications. A reporter for People's Finance learned that Hong Kong's working group on developing the low-altitude economy is fully drafting the Action Plan for Developing the Low-Altitude Economy, which will improve the regulatory framework, standard-setting, and infrastructure development. According to reports, the planned actions include close cooperation with the Mainland to achieve cross-border low-altitude logistics test flights as soon as possible and gradually expand the low-altitude cross-border logistics network in the Greater Bay Area; advancing research on low-altitude infrastructure technology and building smart low-altitude traffic management systems. The HKSAR Government has already begun drafting work and will continue to consult the public, with completion expected within this year. The government will adopt a multi-pronged strategy: on one hand, supporting standard-setting efforts at regional and international levels, while actively promoting government-level bilateral cooperation, exploring the signing of low-altitude economy cooperation memorandums with more jurisdictions, and gradually expanding to multilateral and international cooperation. At the same time, it is promoting research into jointly establishing an international low-altitude economy cooperation organization with the Mainland. (Securities Times)
