This Memorandum of Understanding establishes a unified Mountain West network linking federal NSF ASCEND Engine resources to regional photonics hubs in Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana. The collaboration specifically targets accelerating quantum technology commercialization through shared testbeds for advanced sensing and autonomous systems rather than general software or consumer electronics development. By integrating workforce programs and capital access across these states, the alliance aims to overcome individual organizational limitations while focusing on national security applications critical to the quantum ecosystem.
