analiza aiqbench

This research investigates the mathematical properties of generalized fidelity within quantum information theory, specifically demonstrating its failure to satisfy the data processing inequality in dimensions exceeding two. The study provides sufficient conditions for the inequality's validity in qubit systems and establishes criteria for reducing generalized fidelity to the standard Uhlmann fidelity. These findings are critical for advancing theoretical frameworks in quantum computing and quantum communication protocols.

arXiv:2609.09753v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: In this note, we show that the generalized Bures--Wasserstein distance induced by the generalized fidelity does not satisfy the data processing inequality in dimensions greater than two. In dimension two, although we do not settle the DPI in full generality, we derive two sufficient conditions guaranteeing it by using an explicit formula for the real part of the generalized fidelity. Furthermore, we find a necessary and sufficient condition under which the generalized fidelity reduces to the Uhlmann fidelity.
