Bottom-Fishing Trend Evident as Broad-Based ETFs Attract Over 370 Billion Yuan in Net Inflows Since October

As of the close on November 2, three broad-based products, the E Fund ChiNext ETF, the ChinaAMC STAR 50 ETF, and the Huatai-PineBridge CSI 300 ETF, each recorded trading volumes exceeding 10 billion yuan. The Southern CSI 1000 ETF, the Southern CSI 500 ETF, the Huatai-PineBridge CSI A500 ETF, and the Guotai CSI A500 ETF all posted trading volumes above 6 billion yuan. In fact, the broad-based bottom-fishing trend became evident as early as October 30. Data show that on October 30, ETFs across the entire market saw overall net inflows of 14.055 billion yuan, including 26.988 billion yuan in net inflows into stock ETFs, as funds accelerated their move into ETFs during the pullback, with broad-based products becoming the dominant force. Taking a longer view, funds have clearly accelerated their use of ETFs to position themselves amid market volatility, and stock-type ETFs have recorded net inflows for a full month in a row.
