This collaboration between Diraq and Dell demonstrates a practical pathway for hybrid quantum-classical workflows by co-locating silicon spin qubits with high-performance computing clusters. By minimizing latency between classical AI/CPU resources and the quantum processor, the setup enables real-time orchestration of complex tasks like automated qubit calibration. This integration validates the architectural necessity of tightly coupled infrastructure to overcome current limitations in scaling quantum operations.

Diraq and Dell link quantum chip to HPC for faster workflows

Quantum Zeitgeist5 min de cititArticolul și perspectiva sunt în engleză.

Diraq & Dell Technologies are integrating a Diraq quantum processor with a Dell high-performance computing cluster, aiming for scalable hybrid computation.

Dell Technologies has deployed a high-performance computing cluster directly inside Diraq’s Sydney laboratory, forging a uniquely close link between quantum processing and classical infrastructure. This co-location is designed to overcome latency challenges inherent in many quantum workflows, particularly for Diraq’s silicon spin qubits which operate at very high speeds. “We’re working with Dell to create integrated systems that call classical AI and CPUs for the big number crunching,” explains Diraq CEO and Founder Andrew Dzurak, “Then, when there’s a specific hard problem, you call the quantum processing unit.” The collaboration aims to demonstrate how tightly integrated classical compute can support real-time quantum operations.…
