Coordinating mental health work in EA / AI safety
Published on October 15, 2026 11:16 PM GMT The Community Health team at CEA is coordinating some efforts around mental health and anti-burnout work in EA and AI safety. We think this was already an important area, and will become more important as AI continues to heat up. If you or your org are thinking about this/working on it, we'd like to be in touch! That might look like: You’re a staff member thinking about how to set culture in your workspace to reduce burnout Your organization is considering what mental health benefits to offer staff, or increase uptake of benefits You want to work in this area You’re a mental health professional with an interest in serving people in these spaces You’re not a mental health professional, but want to support the mental health of people in these spaces We’d like to put such people in touch with each other, and share ideas and lessons learned. You can use our contact form or write to individual staff members. Depending on how many requests we get, we may not be able to work on all of them. We’ve started a collection of our posts on this topic, and will likely add to it in the coming months. One quick step you can take now: if you’ve worked with a mental health provider or coach you think would be useful to other people in this space, please leave an anonymous recommendation on the EA Mental Health Navigator.
