AMD says its Helios rack-scale AI systems, built around MI455X GPUs, are moving from initial deployments into broader volume through partner OEMs and ODMs in Q4. The customer list (Anthropic, Meta, Microsoft, OpenAI, Oracle) suggests real production use, but the claims come from a company earnings call, so shipment volumes and performance remain unverified. Readers tracking AI infrastructure should watch whether partner shipments and customer deployments actually scale as guided.

AMD Chair and CEO Lisa Su said on the company's Q3 2026 earnings call that deployments of Helios rack-scale AI systems are expected to increase significantly in the fourth quarter. Discussing delivery progress, she said that as production ramps up, OEM and ODM partners including Lenovo, HPE, Dell and Supermicro will begin shipping related systems. Su said AMD began volume shipments of MI455X GPUs in the third quarter, and initial Helios racks have gone into operation at customers including Anthropic, Meta, Microsoft, OpenAI and Oracle, supporting their models and workloads. In the fourth quarter, as partners start delivering systems, Helios deployments are expected to expand further. (Caixin)
