This research proposes an all-optical feedforward architecture to eliminate electronic latency bottlenecks in continuous-variable quantum computing, enabling high-bandwidth operations compatible with fault-tolerant schemes. By removing optoelectronic conversions, the scheme significantly reduces circuit runtime while maintaining noise resilience for essential Clifford gate operations.

arXiv:2606.22736v3 Announce Type: replace Abstract: Measurement-based continuous-variable optical quantum computing inherently offers high-speed, large-scale operations, yet its practical performance remains constrained by the processing latencies and throughput bottlenecks imposed by classical electronic feedforward circuits. To overcome these limitations, we propose a loss-tolerant, all-optical feedforward (AOFF) architecture for generalized quantum teleportation, which executes programmable single-mode Gaussian operations and realizes arbitrary single-mode linear operations with two successive stages. Quantitative noise analysis under realistic device parameters demonstrates that the architecture suppresses the hardware-induced noise floor to levels potentially compatible with fault-tolerant quantum computing with Gottesman-Kitaev-Preskill qubits over the range of operations required for their Clifford gates. By eliminating optoelectronic conversions, this scheme enables continuous operations with high analog bandwidth and high temporal-mode throughput that drastically reduce circuit runtime. Ultimately, this approach delivers a noise-resilient platform that reconciles operational versatility with the intrinsic speed and bandwidth of optical quantum information processing.
