Ministry of Education: Teacher Development Center Fully Launched, AI Literacy Training for All Teachers Begins
The Ministry of Education convened a field conference today in Beijing on empowering teacher development with artificial intelligence. The National Smart Education Platform's Teacher Development Center has been fully upgraded and launched, while comprehensive training to enhance teachers' AI literacy has commenced. The newly launched center features an AI Literacy Zone that integrates learning resources, intelligent tools, and professional development communities to support autonomous learning and full-coverage training for educators. As the first lesson in this comprehensive training program, the Ministry of Education invited frontline teachers, principals, and education bureau directors to participate in immersive, scenario-based demonstrations. These sessions showcased how AI can empower efficient lesson preparation, classroom instruction, academic assessment, research reflection, and school governance across the entire teaching-learning cycle. The initiative aims to help teachers master the progression from learning AI to using AI to creating AI, thereby leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance education and teacher development for better personalized instruction.
