NVIDIA is securing its supply chain by tripling substrate production and significantly expanding advanced packaging and testing capacities to meet surging demand for AI infrastructure. This strategic scaling of manufacturing partners, including KYEC and Amkor, directly addresses the hardware bottlenecks critical to accelerating global AI model training and deployment.
NVIDIA Expands Production with Supply Chain Partners to Accelerate AI Infrastructure Buildout
NVIDIA and its supply chain partners announced plans to expand capacity to accelerate AI infrastructure development. NVIDIA aims to increase substrate production capacity by 2.5 times over the next three years; KYEC will receive a $1.1 billion advance payment from NVIDIA to build new facilities in the U.S.; Amkor Technology plans to boost advanced packaging capacity by more than 300% by the end of 2028. Additionally, NVIDIA intends to double semiconductor test capacity between 2026 and 2027, launching large-scale test production in Singapore in February 2027. (Caishengshe)
