Euro Zone Goods Trade Deficit Widens to €16.1 Billion in August
On October 16, Eurostat preliminary data showed the euro zone's goods trade deficit reached €16.1 billion in August, compared with a deficit of €1.7 billion in the same period last year. That month, euro zone exports to the rest of the world totaled €227.7 billion, up 9.9% year on year, while imports totaled €243.8 billion, up 16.7% year on year.
