Chinese brokerages are shifting from sporadic试探 to concentrated investment in overseas expansion, with capital injections into foreign subsidiaries already surpassing 50 billion yuan this year. The Middle East and Central Asia have emerged as new strategic hubs. Recently, Chinese brokerages have made frequent moves in their international layout: Guolian Minsheng Securities received a no-objection letter from the China Securities Regulatory Commission for its 2 billion yuan capital increase of its Hong Kong subsidiary; CITIC Capital International secured a license in Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC); and Guotai Junan International signed a cooperation memorandum with the Almaty Municipal Government in Kazakhstan.
