Qunar Travel: 'Multi-City Trips' See Over 5 Days of Hotel Stays, 'Combined Holidays' Spending Up 13%
36Kr reports that as the National Day holiday concluded, Qunar Travel data showed that under the boost of a double-holiday break, travel enthusiasm during this 'Super Golden Week' significantly outpaced previous years. Multiple hotspots converged, including long-distance tours, multi-city trips, small-town getaways, and outbound travel. Bookings for routes over 2,000 kilometers surged by more than 40% year-on-year, while nearly 30% of travelers booked hotels in two or more cities, driving a 35% increase in the popularity of 'multi-city trips.' Users who took advantage of pre-holiday off-peak travel to save 20% on flight tickets ended up spending 13% more overall on flights, hotels, and attractions via the platform compared to other users, with an average cumulative hotel stay exceeding five days.
