On October 8, Porsche unveiled its 'Sportwagenschmiede 35' strategy. Under the latest plan, Porsche intends to reduce the number of model variants by approximately 20% to simplify its product portfolio. Average sales per variant are expected to rise by about 30% in the medium term. The company will also strengthen its presence in the premium D and E segments, aiming to increase their share of the overall portfolio by roughly 45%. Porsche will systematically expand its customization business to further enhance brand positioning, with a goal of raising the average price of top-tier models by about 20% in the medium term. Additionally, Porsche has announced the development of a mid-engine supercar platform to create a model series above the 911. By 2030, Porsche plans to launch at least one new product annually that defines its brand image. (Caixin Global)
